So I’ll keep going
A poem.
What is my breaking point?
Have I met it yet?
Bowie keeps me sane another day
As I think back on all of it
I look in my rear view,
An oversized truck,
Loud exhaust
I don’t have the patience for their tailgating
As I go the speed limit, and as they keep berating
I fear I’ve met my limit
How much is too much?
How do I know how much I can take?
I’m a firm believer that such struggle leads to growth
But just how much growing can I manage?
The light turns greens as the breeze whips through my hair
James Taylor sings about Carolina, it’s beautiful there
I remind myself to breathe deeply some more
I’ve been through hardship before,
And I’ll do it again, I’ll face another day
No matter what comes
I can take it, I’ll be okay
